Throughout the years I have found several simple things to make our homeschool days run smoother. One of the biggest takeaways has been the importance of setting and maintaining expectations. Instituting something as simple as daily checklists can help enforce expectations and also act as a visual for our children that may need the extra encouragement to stay on task.
Recently I shared a video on YouTube showing a typical “day in the life” of our homeschool and these checklists make an appearance. I’ve tried several versions of checklist and assignment sheets over the years but so far these have worked the best for my children. While this idea may not be new or revolutionary, it is something I have found helpful and would like to share with those of you that may benefit from them as well. After all, that’s what homeschool community is all about, helping each other.
